Meet Gloria

Student Therapist

Greetings!

My name is Gloria, a student at Grand Canyon University pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I'm thrilled to join the CCS practicum/internship program.

I'm excited to take part in my professional journey alongside other students here at CCS, aiming for the same goal of helping our communities in supporting the lives of those who struggle managing their emotional, mental, and physical well-being, trying to reconnect and normalize their lives.

I'm a single parent of three beautiful children with whom we share life's ups and downs. We are always looking ahead with a vision in mind, trying our very best in everything that we do in a family unit, being present and respecting the autonomy of self, understanding, and open communication.

Before switching career paths, I served the high-tech community with Trade Compliance for 15+ years while working on obtaining my bachelors of science in business administration at the University of Phoenix. I received the professional satisfaction of gaining valuable experience in the international arena, but my heart was always in the spiritual side of helping humanity. My inspiration for attaining inner satisfaction is to sensibly impact the lives of others; it is necessary to make a difference, embracing a nurturing sense of belonging. There's an amount of dedication, love, compassion, and a deep sense of understanding that transcends to a strong therapeutic relationship while navigating the mentally ill individuals to gain an effective intervention, a positive recovery solution, and ultimately a balanced treatment outcome, toward a meaningful life.
