Meet Giselle
Student Therapist
Hello all, my name is Giselle, and I am a graduate student specializing in marriage and family therapy, focused on helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and acquire coping skills so that they may live their best, most authentic lives. My background includes experience in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), where I’ve supported clients in breaking down complex behaviors into manageable steps and using evidence-based strategies to encourage positive change. I value practical, solution-focused approaches and believe that therapy works best when it’s collaborative and tailored to what matters most to you. My therapeutic values are rooted in humanistic and depth-of-the-person modalities. I aim to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where we can explore your goals and strengths. I believe people are naturally motivated to grow, but sometimes need help reconnecting with their values and resources. Together, we will work on self-awareness, coping skills, and effective strategies for managing stress and difficult emotions. I regularly incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and self-care strategies in my work, and have a strong interest in integrating eclectic practices. In our work together, I aim to incorporate mindfulness practices and visualization techniques to help you connect with your inner self and access your own inner wisdom. I feel that once you’ve accomplished discovering your inner truths, you are able to become and work towards understanding and healing that which will lead you to the highest version of yourself. Symbolic imagery and storytelling can also be used as tools for self-exploration and healing in our work. By creating a safe and supportive environment that honors you, as an individual, I am here to guide and support you in tapping into your own inner resources and embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth.
