Dwayne Wright
Student Therapist
Dwayne Wright is a graduate counseling intern pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as he works toward becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. He is also a United States Navy combat veteran, and his military experience shapes the way he shows up in this work with commitment, integrity, and compassion.
Dwayne is passionate about supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use. He understands that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable and strives to create a safe, respectful space where clients feel heard and understood. His approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed care, while recognizing that every person’s story is unique.
Dwayne works collaboratively with clients to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels sustainable and empowering. Outside of counseling, he enjoys snowboarding and camping, experiences that reinforce his belief in resilience, balance, and reconnecting with what grounds us.
He considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges, rediscover their strengths, and move toward greater clarity and personal growth.
