Cynthia Salazar
Student Therapist
My name is Cynthia Salazar, and I am a student therapist at CCS Wellness and Education,
currently pursuing a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at California Baptist
University. I am working toward becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT),
with a passion for supporting children, adults, and families as they navigate the challenges and
transitions life brings.
My professional experiences in education and counseling have allowed me to work with
individuals from different backgrounds and at various stages of life. These experiences have
taught me the importance of meeting each person where they are and taking the time to
understand their unique experiences. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship begins with
trust, empathy, and genuine connection, and I strive to create a space where clients feel
respected, heard, and comfortable being themselves.
I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and my role is to walk alongside them as they
explore their experiences, recognize their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and work
toward meaningful change. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and growing at
CCS Wellness and Education while building meaningful connections with the clients and
families I have the privilege of working with. As a bilingual English/Spanish student therapist, I
can connect with and support clients in both languages.
