Meet Carol
My name is Carol Galindo and I am a student therapist at Central Counseling Services.
As a current graduate student at Northwestern University, I am pursuing my M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from California State University, Fullerton. Through Northwestern University, I have learned to work with Integrative Systemic Therapy, which is a process in which the therapist uses different models of therapy to best fit the client. This includes techniques from solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and family systems theory.
As a student I am constantly learning through my supervisors, school, and clients. Coupled with my passion to want to interact with people, my beliefs align most with using a strength based approach. I believe clients are the experts of their own life, but sometimes our past and present experiences make it hard to see all of the good things. Let's work together to create new tools you can use to navigate life!
If I'm not in the office with clients or in class I am either watching anime, going to coffee shops, reading fiction novels, or at the gym.
