Brenda Holmes

Student Therapist

As a culturally responsive, bilingual MSW student therapist, I bring both professional experience

in community behavioral health and a genuine appreciation for the different experiences,

identities, cultures, and strengths that shape who we are. My approach is warm,

compassionate, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I strive to create an inclusive and

nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves, feel heard, and

explore what is important to them at their own pace.

My experience in behavioral health has allowed me to work alongside individuals facing a

variety of mental health concerns and life challenges, while strengthening my belief that

meaningful support begins with understanding the whole person, not simply the difficulties they

may be experiencing. I offer services in both English and Spanish and value creating a

therapeutic space that is respectful of each client’s culture, background, values, and lived

experience.

When I’m not working or studying, you can usually find me reading, listening to music, spending

time with my dogs, or enjoying some much-needed downtime.
